Cordyceps Fungus Curiosity Vial "Zombie Fungus"

There are over 400 species of cordyceps fungus. This parasitic fungus hosts itself on insects, controlling it by attacking it's nervous system. That's how it gets it's nickname as "Zombie Fungus". While it's been used as medicine for many years, it's become even more well-known from the game & tv show: The Last of Us.

This is cordyceps (likely c. militaris) is protruding from the pupa of a saturn moth.
